Hello. I'm new to fanart.tv and i don't know if here is the right place to put my question.
I have an image for an album cover that i want to add, but i cant upload images bigger than 1mb.
I don't know how to change the size of the image without quality loss. What should I do?
My image is 1.14mb.
Upload size
Re: Upload size
Hey bud, have you tried moving the slider to the left until it's less than 1mb, when saving?
Re: Upload size
Sorry, but what slider? I'm not editing it, I just found it on the internet at a good quality and size. When i try to upload it there's no sliders...
Re: Upload size
first: what type is this image ? when its 1000x1000 i dont think its a JPG ( maybe a PNG )
second: load it in ur grafik programm ( photoshop, gimp, etc... )
third: save it as a JPG ! and adjust the compression until u are under 1mb ( result should be ok after compression, cause all images in our Database are under 1mb and they are mostly brilliand )
fourth: be happy and have a beer and a cookie

Re: Upload size
can u maybe post the link of the original over 1mb image here ? wanna see it
Re: Upload size
ppi only matters when you print. http://bjango.com/articles/ppiisatag/ArturLP wrote:just saying it lost some ppi and is not exactly as original... but still good
The only way to decrease the file size would be to decrease compression quality.
Re: Upload size
when i save it as jpg and compression level 11 (12 is max and best quality ) i dont see any difference = 7xx kb
Re: Upload size
Personally I'd jump straight to step four, but that's just meschimi2k wrote:first: what type is this image ? when its 1000x1000 i dont think its a JPG ( maybe a PNG )
