Batman The Dark Knight Returns

Post by Esky »

Hi there,

the fanart entry for this movie does not have a corresponding TMDB entry:

https://fanart.tv/movie/229457/batman-t ... e-edition/

There is however another entry which does:

https://fanart.tv/movie/312886/batman-t ... t-returns/

https://www.themoviedb.org/movie/312886 ... ht-returns

When someone gets the time, please can all the images be moved from 229457 to 312886 and then 229457 entry deleted.

Cheers,

Esky.

Not sure if someone did it already but the images seem to be where they should.

And again, we cannot delete entries. For that, you guys need to contact TMDB or tvdb, depending on what kind it is.

Hi Aries,

yes it looks like someone has moved the images to the correct page.

So you're saying you cannot delete this entry ( https://fanart.tv/movie/229457/batman-t ... e-edition/ ) from fanarts own database?

And I'm a little confused ... how would contacting TMDB help get the above page deleted from fanarts database ??

As mentioned in my first post, there is no entry on TMDB for 229457 - this must have already been deleted at some point in the past.

Cheers,

Esky.

Actually it can be deleted from our DB, it's just a PITA. There are plenty of dead entries in our DB from when places like TMDB decide to change things up on their end. The important thing is to get the images moved and not so much deleting the dead entry as it will no longer be referenced from the API anyway. Maybe on the new site we will have an easier way to remove dead entries.

I went ahead and deleted this entry though.

Cheers

he he, the somebody that moved the images was me, when I read this thread!
I couldn't reply until now though, so apologies to yous all.
It's frustrating about not being able to delete dead entries from our database at the moment, but as @akovia said, they'll no longer be referenced by the API. It's not an ideal situation, but it's a compromise between 4 or 5 sites. It's something we need to sort out though, and we're aware of. It's actually one of my biggest bugbears!

Aries and I wondered who moved the images. Thanks Jack!
I was able to delete the dead entry though as I stated. I can do more of them but don't know how to round them all up.
If you see one, just let me know. It doesn't affect the API at all, but it does give multiple entries when searching from the site which can be confusing.

Cheers.
