Just have a question.

I'm curious about the sizing restrictions of the hd logos. Can somebody further explain to me why we need a 10px gutter and why they can only be a maximum of 800 px wide? Why exactly can't we submit logos that don't have this gutter? If the logo in question doesn't have any drop shadows or anything then it doesn't need this, does it? As a cover designer, the bigger/higher quality logo I have, the better...and if the logo isn't autocropped to remove extra space then it could potentially mess up with the aligning and things...

I'm just curious about this. Thank you again.

First thing, pretty much all logos need a shadow or a glow as they need to be visible on all colored backgrounds. Before the HD logos we had the SD logos that didn't need to have a gutter but they needed to be bottom aligned and you have no idea how many had to be denied because the shadow was cropped so when the HD logo section was opened it was decided to include the 10px gutter all around. So yes, logos need to have the mandatory gutter respected, in all cases.
For the size, logos are used in media players and the size allocated for them is not really big so there would really be no point to have them bigger, here.
If you want bigger versions of logos, feel free to contact by PM the authors. They might share them with you :)
