This is what I've been doing with all of these album covers that I've been working on - I make band discography magnets. I'd like to be able to find all of the artwork here at Fanart. I probably find around 50% of the artwork here. I end up having a lot of cover art that could be contributed here. I look forward to these changes at Fanart, I'll give it another try once I see how things are going.

I would like to add that I think the mods do a great job and if you go to the ircc channel it is easy to speak to them on setrain issues.
Altho it is never funny to have a image denied I understand their point on better no artwork instead of bad artwork.
Special heads up for EZ99 and Zincrider for the music section. They both had denied images from me but where very helpfull in getting it better.
We sometimes do not agree on scan moire or print issues but great communication.

So enough positive words got some artworks to do that will be denied for sure. (old albums)

This is pissing me off... I know that all my albuns aren't THAT good, but is ridiculous some really good images getting denied. Look at this and tell me if is not a good image to upload https://fanart.tv/fanart/music/deny/kin ... abe334.jpg ¬¬

And this should be a rule, if you report an image at least you should have a better image with you, cause is just ridiculous a reported image with "good but could be a bit better..." and sometimes the image already uploaded is not a bad one....

I'm guessing it was denied because of compression artefacts in the logo - the image is nearly there, just needs a liitle tweak to the levels then re-copy the newly adjusted logo back over the original one.

Don't take this the wrong way, but do you do any editing work on your uploads? (I ask because some members don't). I would say unless images are relativly new high def/large sized digital ones - then most images grabbed from the web are going to need some work before they get uploaded here.

I know it can be frustrating - I've had quite a few of my images denied multiple times before I manged to get them just right!

This was discussed at the moderators meeting a few weeks ago, and no images are to be reported as "Good but could be a bit better" - Anybody reporting an image they want to replace, has to provide a link to thier version so it can be compared before making a decision.

The only reports we will accept when members don't have a replacement themselves, are where there are obvious and definable issues with the image. These reasons will be put in the "reason for replacement" comment, so members know what is required to fix the image.

Hope this helps!

Geez, the new rules are ridiculous. I don't see myself preparing images to be looked at at 400%. Blown up that large, almost every image will have some "problem". That's just looking too hard for issues. I'm all for high quality art, but this is getting beyond reason. I'm out.

WOW! My favorite moderator became the # 1 all time uploader for album covers - what a great accomplishment!

How can this same person work on so many album covers and still have the time to replace so many of the covers that I contributed? I just had 6 emails in a 2 minute period from the #1 all time album cover king. These emails informed me that the album covers that I contributed had some flaw or another, compression artifacts, scan moire pattern - you know, those flaws that shouldn't be allowed on 1 megabyte jpeg scans.

Looks like those printed covers scanned and saved as 1MB jpegs were a dumb move. If only I had found each cover's digital master art.

Well, now I keep my cheaply scanned covers in a safe place, AWAY from those who don't deserve access to guarding them any longer. Keep up the great work!

He is no cover king, he's more like a dictator.
The album section became a one man show.
Thats why i canceled my account.
And some other members did so too.

When i had a cover, that is significantly better than the one online and i tried to get a replace button: no answer.
He only answers to himself.

The issues are only at other ones cover art, not at his own.

He steals a cover from albumartexchange like this https://fanart.tv/fanart/music/7c7f9c94 ... 88fa78.jpg and is even not able to save it in high quality, so that its transformed into an artifact monster.

But he forces contributors to fix issues that are not existent at original digital sources.
He even finds scan moire on images that never had been scanned.

And if you say that to him, the only response is: no debate.

He acts arrogant and even aggressive.
I never ever want to work with such a person again.

Holy sh*t, it's getting ridiculous. I uploaded new album of Gojira, took from here:
http://oktoberpromotion.com/de/release/gojira-magma

The response i got:
Image
art is supposed to be noisy by original, it's the way the band released.

But look at that art looks funny that i could not stop lauging

https://fanart.tv/fanart/music/1c5efd53 ... 545f3f.jpg

Feeling so sorry for great contributors, who lost their passion and nerves. And I really want to stop uploading album arts, change it to CD arts, due to his dictatorship.
