I want(ed) to add Cd covers for a Swedish Metal band called Indungeon (http://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Indungeon/929) but Musicbrainz doesn't have their actual albums in their (crappy) database..
How do I add them anyway?

You first create a release group and then a release inside the release group.

I only can't really be bothered to create an account there, as I think M.B. is crappy database.
So I leave it like this then.

If you create an account and add the stuff that isnt there then the (crappy?) database will get better - its only by people generously putting in the effort that the db does get better - Same as fanart.tv - if we have no-one uploading decent stuff then we have no resources for run of the mill users to use. (God help us all LOL)

Or connect to a bigger database such as http://www.freedb.org/ or for metal music http://www.metal-archives.com.

both those sites are handy but popularity (unfortunately) goes with musicbrainz - this site uses it and more than likely will always use it so if you need to upload stuff that is not on musicbrainz you have to add it there to upload it here, sorry man

FreeDB is very popular for file tagging, but I think it may not be the ideal choice for our purposes here, mostly because it treats every release as an individual thing instead of sorting them into release groups.
Discogs might have been a better choice than musicbrainz, as it seems to have the bigger database. I keep referencing discogs entries when I enter discs into the musicbrainz database..

How do you add a band?

Search for a band. If it isn't in the database you can submit its musicbrainz ID in the box on the right side of the screen.

Which "box" do you mean if I may ask?
