Please help identifying (similar to Trebuchet)

Post by j7n »

Can you please help me to identify this font?

The font is similar to Trebuchet MS, but has obvious embellishments, such as many corners are diagonal, and some of them extend outward, where those edges are plain and straight in the Windows font. I have seen this font more than once on a CD, but I can't think of other examples.

The best match from WhatFontIs comes as "Submariner" which is not quite it. I suspect that you've might have dealt with this font in the context of artwork.

I always cut a few letters with the pen tool and increase the resolution,

"What The Font" worked better. I gave it more letters including G and Q, which didn't match before. I didn't have to recognize the symbols myself, unlike on WhatFontIs, and the site didn't complain about adblocker. I frankly didn't want to spend more time on WhatFontIs because the site had too much Web 2.0 stuff on it that broke my old browser.

The Trade Printer result is surprising. Both sites separated the dot above the i. I did not think of Mozilla Firefox at all.
