Hi There,
Can anyone help?
A lot of my images get denied due to black levels, I'm a novice in editing photos and currently using paint.net. Can any one help me out with adjusting the black levels as I don't want to keep wasting the guys time.
Thanks in advance
Greg

Re: Black Levels
I don't know if paint.net has this option (i use PS), but the theory is, u gotta chose the darkest part of the image (the color u estimate is the "pure" black), and click it to change all the image accordingly. Same goes for white level. In PS, when the time to do this comes, i change the Photoshop background desktop color to black (it's supossed it gives u a true black) and try to fit it.
The real masters on these matters will probably tell u a better explanation, or even if paint.net's got the option.

Re: Black Levels
Hi buddy,
the most important thing you need to do in order to get the blacklevels correct is to calibrate your screen. If you haven't calibrated your screen you most likely won't see the differences in the blacklevels at all. My first tip to you is to follow the tutorial about calibrating your screen first, and then see if that does some magic for you.
You can find the tutorial on how to calibrate on this URL;

Hope this helps!

Hi Watersnapper,
You should check out the tutorial section on the site. Particularly https://fanart.tv/tutorials/adjusting-color-levels/
I don't use paint.net but this might also help. http://www.getpaint.net/doc/latest/Levels.html
