I just signed up for the site and I generated a new key, and it says its disabled or invalid. I deleted the key and generated a new one thinking something went wrong with the same issue.

Do the API keys take a while to activate?

Shouldn't do, you are probably just using them wrong. You would have got a quicker answer on the discord, linked on the main site under community / chat with us.
